Olivia Bolden, Women's Basketball

Olivia is a junior on the women’s basketball team at Albertus Magnus. Earlier this season, she became the 12 player in program history to score 1,000 career points. Recently, she sat down to answer a few questions. Olivia answered the questions seen on the graphic and also gave us a few more gems. Her favorite place to play on the road in Johnson & Wales in Providence, Rhode Island. Her favorite class is Sports Venue and Event Management and when pressed, she said that assistant coach Jeremy Thompson would beat Head Coach JR Fredette in a foot race. 2015-16: Had another impressive season on the court for the Falcons...started and appeared in all 26 games...named First Team All-GNAC...tabbed as the team's MVP...finished the year third in the league in scoring (17.5 points per game) and sixth in rebounding (9.4 boards per tilt)... Bolden registered a team-high 12 double-doubles, highlighted by recording six in conference games...scored 30 or more points in a game four times...scored 32 points n a loss to Manhattanville and netted 32 in a setback against Suffolk...grabbed a season-best 17 rebounds in a loss to Coast Guard.

2014-15: Started all 26 games and averaged 18.1 points and 7.8 rebounds in 33 minutes per game. She logged a total of 858 minutes, shot 67.6% from the line, had 31 steals, and grabbed a total of 202 rebounds. Won GNAC Rookie of the Year and won ECAC Rookie of the Week honors three times. Was named to the Scotty Wood Tournament All-Tournament Team at Muhlenberg on Nov. 21-22. Was named to the GNAC All-Conference Second Team.

High School: Attended South Windsor High School... earned All-State honors in basketball... earned All-Conference honors all four years of high school in both basketball and volleyball... led her team to the 2014 State Tournament semifinals... was a team captain her junior and senior years... in addition to volleyball, also participated in track and field.

Personal: Daughter of Maureen Ducios and Madison Bolden, Jr.... majoring in Biology... her cousin played lacrosse for Team USA.
