Falcons Fall in Regular Season Finale Against Regis (Mass.)

Weston, Mass. - Despite a season-best five goals and an assist from freshman Jordan Garguilo (West Haven, Conn.), the Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse fell short in its regular season final to Regis (Mass.), 17-14, on Wednesday evening in a GNAC road clash at Regis Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Regis (Mass.) opened regulation scoring two goals to take the early lead until back-to-back goals from Garguilo and James May (Branford, Conn.) tied the game at 2-2 with 7:40 remaining. The Pride would close out the opening quarter with a 2-1 run to hold a one-goal lead, 5-4.

Over the next five minutes of play, Regis (Mass.) and Albertus traded goals until the Pride went on a 6-0 scoring run to extend their lead to seven, 12-5, at the half.

Albertus Magnus came out with vengeance to start the third scoring five unanswered goals, including a pair from Garguilo, to cut the lead to two, 12-10, with 3:53 left in the quarter.

Down by three, 13-10, Albertus Magnus rallied back to within one, 13-12, following a goal from May and Mykel Stinson(Bridgeport, Conn.), but the Pride sealed the home win following a 4-2 run to close out regulation.
