New Haven, Conn. – Albertus Magnus College women's soccer Head Coach Nick Wajnowski (11th season) has announced his team's schedule for the upcoming 2017 fall campaign. During the regular season, the Falcons will take to the pitch 16 times, highlighted by 12 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tilts and seven home contests.

It was a record-breaking year in 2016 for the Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team as new program-bests were set and the team earned its first-ever berth in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship. The Falcons ended last fall with an 11-8-1 overall record and were the No. 3 seed in the GNAC Tournament thanks to posting a 7-3-1 mark in league play.

Albertus Magnus opens its fall slate with three non-conference tilts against Elms (9/1), Mt. Holyoke (9/3) and Mitchell (9/6). Following the road contest against the Mariners, the Falcons open up GNAC play at Suffolk (9/9) before returning home for a three-game home stand against Lasell (9/13), Mount Ida (9/16) and Johnson and Wales (9/20).

The Falcons close out the first month of the season with a pair of road matches against Rivier (9/22) and Emmanuel (9/26) as well as a home game against Anna Maria (9/30).

In October, Albertus Magnus ends the regular season with five GNAC games. During the 10th month of the calendar year, Albertus Magnus hosts Saint Joseph's College of Maine (10/14) and the University of Saint Joseph's (Conn.) (10/18). The home match against the Monks will be parts of the school's Homecoming Weekend. Also during the final month of the regular season, Albertus Magnus has road contests against Simmons (10/4), Regis (10/7), Norwich (10/21) and Coast Guard (10/25).

The GNAC women's soccer championship opens up with first round play on October 28th. The semifinals are on October 31st with the championship match on November 4th. All games will be played at the home site of the higher seed.
