Kikosicki Scores Game-Winner in Falcons' 2-1 Win over Simmons

New Haven, Conn. - With time ticking down, freshman Jordan Kikosicki (East Haven, Conn.) buried the game-winning goal at the 84th minute to send the Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team to a 2-1 win over Simmons University Wednesday evening at Celentano Field in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Senior Kerrigan Loughman (Trumbull, Conn.) gave the Falcons the early 1-0 edge as she found the top left corner of the net off a free kick following a Sharks' foul.

However, 15 minutes later Ciara Forde would even the score up at 1-1 after finding the back of the net against Falcons' keeper Lexie Fenn (Oakville, Conn.).

With the clock winding down, Kikosicki would score to give the home team the eventual winning marker with her third goal of the season.

  • Simmons owned a 16-11 shot advantage for the game.
  • The Sharks also claimed a 6-4 difference in corner kicks.
  • Albertus was led offensively by four players - Kikosicki, Morgan Gigliotti (Wolcott, Conn.), Haley Andrews (Prospect, Conn.) and Jaidyn Gillette (Putnam, Conn.) - who all tallied two shots a piece.
  • Alonw with her goal, Forde led the Sharks in shots with 11.
