Albertus Magnus junior Kelsey Proctor (Guilford, Conn.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Runner of the Week as announced Monday evening by the league office.
Proctor won the Mitchell Invitational on Friday, Sept. 14 in her first meet of the season with the Falcons. She took first place in the 4.67k race with a time of 19:40.8 and finished 51 seconds faster than her nearest opponent.
Despite the team loss to Mitchell, the Falcons' earned their first individual race winner in women's competition in three seasons.
Proctor and the Falcons return to action on Saturday, Sept. 29 as they head North on I-91 to the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) Invitational. That race is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
