Hester and Smith Named Falcons of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Pierson Hester (Nashville, TN) of the Albertus Magnus men's golf team and Savanna Smith (New Haven, Conn.) of the women's volleyball team were named the Takin' Flight Falcons of the Week for their performances in the opening week of the fall sports season.

Pierson Hester picked up his first individual medalist honor during his debut at the Albertus Magnus College Fall Invitational on Tuesday. Hester finished with a four-over par 74.

Savanna Smith had 28 assists during her first career match against Mount Saint Mary's (N.Y.) on Saturday. She added 7 more assists during the second match of the day versus St. Elizabeth, leading to 35 total assists across both games.
