NEWBURGH, N.Y. - The Albertus Magnus College baseball team lost a 17-7 non-conference game to Mount Saint Mary (MSMC) on Tuesday afternoon in eight innings in the team's final road game of the season.

Eric Galarza (Bridgeport, Conn.) went 3-for-5. Colin Telford (Branford, Conn.) went 2-for-3 with two runs. Robert Anton (Woodbury, Conn.) and Anthony Abate (Naugatuck, Conn.) each had a hit with two RBI.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• After a scoreless first inning, the Falcons loaded the bases in the top of the second with one out, but were unable to get a run across.
• MSMC scored six runs in the bottom of the third as Frank Signorelli hit a bases loaded triple and Tyler Crocitto hit a two-run single.
• The Knights tacked on four more runs in the bottom of fourth as Luke Barone hit a three-run homer.
• After Telford walked and Adriel Espada (Bridgeport, Conn.) doubled, an RBI groundout by Abate put the Falcons on the board in the top of the fifth, followed by an RBI single by Galarza, making it a 10-2 game.
• The Knights answered in the bottom of the fifth with a three-run homer by Tyler Van De Bogart, making it a 13-2 game.
• Albertus rallied with three runs in the top of the sixth thanks to a two-run single by Anton and an RBI single by Abate. The Falcons added two more in the top of the seventh on an RBI single by Thomas Pilla (New Milford, Conn.) and a fielder's choice by Anton.
• The game was called via the mercy rule in the bottom of the eighth after MSMC scored four runs, ending on a two-run double by Barone.
