WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - The Albertus Magnus College baseball team rallied from an early four-run deficit to pick up its first win of the season, defeating Gordon College, 12-11 on Sunday afternoon down at the RussMatt Baseball Invitational.
Eric Galarza (Bridgeport, Conn.) went 3-for-5, including a double and triple with four RBI and two runs. Robert Anton (Woodnury, Conn.) went 2-for-5 with three runs and an RBI.
Anthony Abate (Naugatuck, Conn.) scored two runs with an RBI, while Adriel Espada (Bridgeport, Conn.) went 2-for-5 with two runs scored.
Justin Feinstein (Monroe, Conn.) picked up his first win of the season, pitching 5.1 innings, striking out three.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first inning, Gordon struck for four runs in the bottom of the second, which included a three-run triple by Cael Smith.
- The Falcons got the offense going in the top of the fourth for two runs as Mark Whittington (Meriden, Conn.) drove in Anton with a single after Anton reached on a base hit to open the inning. Galarza, who walked, also scored on a double play to cut the deficit to 4-2. Gordon responded with one more run in the bottom of the inning.
- The Falcons scored two more runs in the top of the fifth as Abate scored on an error off the bat of Anton after drawing a walk. Galarza followed with a triple to center making it a 5-4 game.
- Albertus tied the game on a steal of home by Gio Morales (Manchester, Conn.) and then scored four more times as Abate and Anton each had an RBI single and Galarza hit a two-run double to give the Falcons a 9-5 lead. Gordon answered with three more runs in the bottom of the sixth, which included an RBI single by Smith.
- Galarza once again came through at the plate in the top of the eighth with an RBI single and Baltazar Mesa (Santo Domingo, DR) and Morales each hit an RBI single to put the Falcons ahead, 12-8.
- Gordon rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth as Gabe Fales hit a two-run triple followed by an RBI double by James Coats. However, Joshua Santiago (New Haven, Conn.) was able to get out of the jam, getting the next three batters out and leaving a runner stranded on second base to earn the save.

NOTEWORTHY
It was the seventh three-hit game of his career for Galarza. It was also his second four RBI game.
Dating back to last season, Espada is now on an 11-game hitting streak.
