MILTON, Mass. - Brayden Hastings (Wallingford, Conn.) hit an RBI single in the top of the tenth inning to lift the Albertus Magnus College baseball team to 10-9 win over Curry College on Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference game.
Hastings finished the day 3-for-6 with a run and an RBI and was one of four Falcons to have three or more hits.
Adriel Espada (Bridgeport, Conn.) went 4-for-5 with a run scored. Noah Grosso (Farmington, Conn.) went 3-for-6, including two doubles with two runs and three RBI. Alex Perez (Meriden, Conn.) hit three doubles on the day, and drove in three runs and scored one.
Adam Virginelli (North Branford, Conn.) earned the win for the Falcons, pitching two innings of scoreless relief and striking out four.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Curry scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning on a two-out two-run single by Aaron Siegal.
- After leaving two runners on base in the second inning, Grosso ripped a double to right centerfield with the bases loaded that scored everyone, putting the Falcons ahead, 3-2. Anthony Abate (Naugatuck, Conn.) then added an RBI double in the top of the fourth to give the Falcons a 4-2 lead.
- The Colonels tied the game in their half of the fourth inning, including an RBI double by Devin Grove.
- Albertus went on to score five runs over the next two innings, which included four runs in the top of the fifth. Perez laced a double to right center field to score Joey O'Hara (Bethel, Conn.) and Grosso, who both singled to lead off the inning. Balatazar Mesa hit a sacrifice fly two batters later to score Perez and Mark Whittington (Meriden, Conn.) would later hit a two-out RBI single to make it a 7-4 game. Perez then added another RBI double in the top of the sixth to give the Falcons the 9-4 lead.
- Curry responded with five runs over the seventh and eighth innings to tie the game at 9-9. Grove had an RBI single and a bases loaded walk and a fielder's choice made it a 9-7 game after the seventh inning and Grove added a two-run single in the eighth to tie the game.
- After the first two batters were retired in the top of the 10th, Perez hit his third double of the game. Damon Abate (Naugatuck, Conn.) pinch ran for Perez and Hastings singled to right field gave Albertus the 10-9 lead.
- In the bottom of the 10th with two runners on and two outs, Virginelli struck out Taylor Diaz on a 3-2 pitch to secure the win for the Falcons.
