Field Hockey Picked 10th In GNAC Preseason Poll

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College field hockey team was picked to finish in 10th place as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) released its 2025 Preseason Coaches' Poll.

The Falcons received 18 voting points as selected by the 11 coaches in the GNAC.

Simmons University was picked to win the conference, receiving 111 voting points, including five first-place votes. The Sharks edged out New England College, who was picked second with 110 votes, including three first-place votes. Colby-Sawyer was picked third with 98 voting points and two first-place votes. Saint Joseph's College of Maine was picked fourth with 83 points and Lasell was picked fifth with 74 voting points and the remaining first-place vote.

The University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) was picked sixth (72 voting points), followed by Dean (56), Rivier (54) and Regis (35). Elms was picked 11th with 13 voting points. 

Albertus begins its regular season on Saturday, August 30 at Ramapo for a 5 p.m. start. The Falcons open up GNAC play on September 6th as they host NEC at 3:30 p.m.
