NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Alexis D'Angelo (Monroe, Conn.) scored a goal for the Albertus Magnus College field hockey team, but the Falcons lost to Colby-Sawyer College (CSC), 8-1 on Wednesday evening in their season finale at Celentano Field.
Ella Welton (Cliffwood, N.J.) had 15 saves in net for the Falcons.
Prior to the game, Melina Tarzia (Stamford, Conn.) and Laurel Maus (Woodbridge, Conn.) were both honored as part of senior day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- D'Angelo opened the scoring in the game with her third goal of the season as she outran the Chargers' defense in a sprint down the field and putting a shot past CSC goalkeeper, Ashlee Blashlock to put the Falcons up, 1-0 at the 8:01 mark of the first.
- The Chargers then scored two goals in the final three minutes of the first, both coming from Taylor Gaudette to take the 2-1 lead into the second quarter.
- Brooke Farquhar added two goals in the second quarter for CSC just 54 seconds apart to take a 4-1 lead at halftime.
- Welton stopped six shots in the second quarter.
- CSC scored four more times in the second half including one more from both Gaudette and Farquhar.
