Junior Darius Watson (New Britain, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus men's basketball team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.

Watson averaged 27 points per game on the Falcons' 2-1 week as he shot 62.3% from the field in 34.3 minutes per contest.  He was 36.4% from behind the arc and 78.6% from the free-throw line.

Watson added 6.3 rebounds per game as well. He scored 30 points in back-to-back games before tallying 21 for the Falcons in their loss to Suffolk on Thursday. He was 13-of-19 from the floor at Suffolk for a 68.4% shooting performance.

With his 21-point effort, Watson moved up to fifth place on the Albertus Magnus men's basketball all-time scoring list as surpassed Jason Crockett's (1994-98) tally of 1,323. Watson now has 1,340 career points.
