Men's Golf Wins Elms Invitational, Hester Earns Individual Medalist

SOUTHWICK, Mass. - Pierson Hester (Nashville, Tenn.) shot an even-par 72 and earned individual medalist honors as he helped lead the Albertus Magnus College men's golf team to a win in the Elms College Blazers Invitational on Friday at The Ranch Golf Club.

The Falcons finished with a 28-over par 316 and finished seven shots ahead of second-place Rhode Island College (323), while Saint Joseph's College of Maine finished in third place of the six team event with a 51-over par 339.

Hester made two birdiest on the day and eagled the par five 16th hole as he shot one-under par on the back nine.

Kyle Sikorski (Norwich, Conn.) finished in sixth place with an eight-over par 80. He had birdies on the 16th and 17th holes, while shooting an even par 36 on the back nine.

Chace Hale (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and Robert Weiss (Utrecht, Netherlands) each shot a 10-over par 82 and tied for eighth. Hale had ten pars on the day, while Weiss had nine.

Dylan Florio (Durham, Conn.) finished with a 91 with six pars on the day.

Up next, the Falcons will host Eastern Connecticut State University on Wednesday, April 15th at New Haven Country Club.
