NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse team lost a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matchup to the Saints of Emmanuel College, 23-6 at Celentano Field.
Nicholas Longo (Ridge, N.Y.) scored a hat trick for the second game in a row. Cooper Strecker (Chester, Conn.) picked up five points on two goals and three assists.
Alexis Gonzalez (Edison, N.J.) got the start in goal, making 17 saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Saints jumped to the early 1-0 lead Ethan Madura scored at the 1:04 mark.
- The Falcons quickly responded 41 seconds later as Longo scored his first of the game after Strecker rifled the ball his way.
- The Saints scored five straight goals, three of them coming from Madura.
- The Falcons added a goal from Strecker and Longo, but the Saints got a goal from Cooper Melhorn with 12 seconds left in the first quarter to take a 7-3 lead heading into the second quarter.
- Strecker started the second quarter with a goal for the Falcons.
- The Saints followed that with three of their own, two coming from Cole Cloney, to put the Saints up 10-4 going into halftime.
- Cloney started the scoring in the third quarter to increase the Emmanuel lead.
- The Falcons responded as Longo sent the ball towards Alex Morales (Wallingford, Conn.), who shot it past goalie Colby Enos as Albertus cut its deficit to 11-5.
- The Saints scored eight more times to close the third. Mehlhorn and Cloney had two goals each in that stretch.
- Emmanuel outscored Albertus 4-1 in the fourth quarter to close it out.
