NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse team closed out its 2026 regular season with a 15-5 loss to the University of Saint Joseph in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.

Four different players scored for the Falcons, led by Marcus Burrows (West Haven, Conn.) with two. Sean Keenan (Franklin Square, N.Y.), DaKari Coleman (Norwalk, Conn.) and Hayden Grigas (Milford, Conn.) all added a goal.

With the final faceoff of the season, Coleman became the program's all-time leader in career faceoff wins with 530.

Alexis Gonzalez (Edison, N.J.) had 12 saves on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• In a defensive first quarter, USJ got on the board at the 12:28 mark as Brenden Tedeschi scored for USJ. There was not another goal until there was 18 seconds remaining in the first as Chris Clancy gave USJ a 2-0 lead going into the second quarter.
• USJ opened up the game in the second quarter, outscoring Albertus, 8-0. Nick Pestrichello scored three times and Dominic Oakes scored twice in the quarter.
• Tedeschi scored twice more and Pestrichello added his fourth goal as the Blue Jays took a 13-0 lead into the fourth.
• Grigas put the Falcons on the board with his seventh goal of the season. Burrows scored his 40th goal of the season at the 8:41 mark, answering a goal from USJ just eight seconds prior. Burrows added his second goal of the game at the 4:25 mark and Coleman and Keenan each scored in the final minute for the final goals of the game for the Falcons.
