NEW HAVEN, Conn. - After playing its first four games on the road, the Albertus Magnus College men's soccer team finally got a taste of home and defeated Norwich University, 1-0 in its Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opener on Saturday afternoon at Celentano Field.
Aiden Coelho (Naugatuck, Conn.) scored the lone goal for the Falcons in the 13th minute on a corner kick.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After the team's battled for possession throughout the first half, Coelho got Albertus on the board as his corner kick bent around all the jumping bodies in the box and past Norwich goalkeeper, Kirk Rodgers, making it a 1-0 game.
- In the 23rd minute, Lucero made a sprawling save off the foot of Daniel Hennessey to preserve the lead.
- Albertus was able to keep Norwich off the board in the second half. In the 52nd minute a shot from Shea Perkins went off the post and out of bounds.
