BRONX, N.Y. - The Albertus Magnus College men's tennis team picked up its first win of the season, defeating Lehman College, 7-0 in a City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) match on Saturday.

The Falcons swept the three doubles matches as Eric Chamandy (Montreal, Quebec) and Zane Kindrachuk (Calgary, Alberta) defeated Taishawn Brownlee and Gabriela Vargas, 6-0 in no. 1. Peter Keese (Minnetonka, Minn.) and Bailey Kirwin (Barrie, Ontario) won 6-1 over Elizabeth Nlemchukwu and Fernanda Navarrete, 6-1 in doubles no. 2 and Josh Piro and Michael Ramsey (Montreal, Quebec) beat Aleski Lebron and Jacob Cooper, 6-3.
Chamandy swept Brownlee, 6-1, 6-0 in singles no. 1. Ramsey won a three-set thriller against Gabriela Vargas, 7-6, 3-6, 12-9.
Keese won in singles no. 3 over Nlemchukwu, 6-1, 6-1, while Kindrachuk won in no. 4, 6-0, 6-2. Kirwin took down Navarrete, 6-1, 6-3 and Gustavo Flores-Soto defeated Angel Lee, 6-3, 6-0.
Both teams move to 1-4 overall and 1-2 in the CUNYAC.
