Men's Tennis Falls To Sarah Lawrence

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's tennis team lost a 5-2 non-conference match to Sarah Lawrence College on Sunday, snapping a two-game winning streak.

Albertus won the doubles point as Peter Keese (Minnetonka, Minn.) and Zane Kindrachuk (Calgary, Alberta) won doubles no. 2, 6-2 over Gavin Wright and Leon Bronshvag, and Bailey Kirwin (Barrie, Ontario) and Ervie Terwilliger (Glenwood, MD.) won no. 3 doubles, 7-5 over Avery-Roman-Villani and Aidan Roney.

Sarah Lawrence won five of the six singles matches, with three going into three sets. Josh Piro (Columbia, Conn.) picked up a win for Albertus in singles no. 6, 6-4, 6-0 over Benjamin Berkson.

Albertus moves to 2-5 on the season, while Sarah Lawrence moves to 6-5.

Up next the Falcons play at York on April 16th in a City of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) match.
