NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's tennis team lost its season finale, 5-2 to Hunter College on Thursday afternoon in a City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) match.
Eric Chamandy (Montreal, Quebec) won a three-set thriller over Nicholas Cooper in singles no. 1, 0-6, 7-5, 6-3.
Zane Kindrachuk (Calgary, Alberta) defeated Jason Parmer in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0 in singles no. 5.
Bailey Kirwin (Barrie, Ontario) and Ervie Terwilliger (Glenwood, Md.) won their doubles no. 3 match over Parmer and Nicholas Douglas, but Hunter took the doubles point, winning two out of three matches.
The Falcons finish their regular season at 3-6 overall and 3-3 in the CUNYAC. Hunter is 6-6 overall and 5-1 in the CUNYAC.
Albertus, seeded fourth, will now take on top seed Baruch College on Sunday, April 26th in the first round of the CUNYAC tournament at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Corona, N.Y.
