Providence, RI - The Albertus Magnus College Men's Volleyball team dropped both sets of a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tri-match against host Emerson College and Johnson and Wales University on Saturday afternoon. In the opening match Emerson posted a 3-0 victory over the Falcons (25-10, 25-12, 25-12) while Johnson and Wales defeated the Falcons 3-0 (25-10, 25-16, 25-15).
Freshman outside hitter Douglas DeSousa (Danbury, CT/Danbury) led the Falcons on the day with 10 kills and six digs in his first career college matches. Senior setter David Teodosio (Guilford, CT/Notre Dame West Haven) added a team high 11 digs on the afternoon.
Albertus drops to 0-2, 0-2 GNAC while Emerson College improves to 3-1, 3-1 GNAC and Johnson and Wales University improves to 1-1, 1-1 GNAC.
The Falcons host non-conference opponent York College for a double header on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
