Brendan Charamut (Southington, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus men's volleyball team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week as announced by the league office.
Charamut earns the honor for the second consecutive week as he led the Falcons in a 4-1 week with a team-best 61 kills. He averaged 4.36 kills per set and hit .255 for the Falcons. He added nine assists, three service aces and 19 digs as well. He also recorded five blocks.
On the week, the Falcons picked up two GNAC victories over Emerson College. On Saturday, March 24, Charamut led the Falcons with 26 kills in 56 attempts as Albertus earned its 14th win of the season.
Carlos Torres (Adjuntas, Puerto Rico) was named to the GNAC weekly honor roll as he dished out 137 assists on the week and added 24 kills. On the week, he averaged 8.56 assists, 1.50 kills and 2.31 digs per set.
