NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Karla Carangelo (Cheshire, Conn.) and Mikaela Schwippert (Whippany, N.J.) of the Albertus Magnus College softball team were both named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly Honor Roll for their contributions this past week. 

In a 2-1 week for the Falcons, Carangelo went 7-for-9 (.778) with six RBI and three runs.

In the team's doubleheader sweep of Elms over the weekend, she went 6-for-6, including two doubles with three runs, and five RBI. She also fanned four batters in three innings of work in the circle and earning the win in game one against the Blazers. 

Schwippert went 5-for-10 at the plate with four RBI and five runs scored during the week. She went 3-for-3 with three runs and four RBI in game one of the doubleheader against Elms, where she also picked up her first career triple and hit two doubles.
