NEW HAVEN, CONN. - The Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team fell to No. 25 Colby College, 56-48, on Tuesday evening in The Nest.
Isabella Fiorillo (West Haven, Conn.) led the Falcons with a career-high 23 points. Adriana DeBernardo (Stratford, Conn.) put up ten points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
Ava Johnson (North Haven, Conn.) added five points and six rebounds, while Dejahlee Dogans (Bloomfield, Conn.) also added five points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Mules opened the scoring with a jump shot from Caroline Hartley. Fiorillo quickly responded with a pair of free throws to tie the game at 2–2 in the opening minutes. The Mules regained the lead when Shea Donnelly knocked down a three pointer, but the Falcons answered immediately with three free throws, two from DeBernardo and one from Johnson, to even the score at 5–5. Donnelly connected on another three pointer to put the Mules back in front, though the Falcons stayed close as Fiorillo finished a layup to make it 8–7 with 3:35 remaining in the quarter. Donnelly's third three-pointer of the period extended the Mules' lead with 1:47 left, but a three from Dogans kept the Falcons within one at 11–10. The Falcons briefly took the lead after a jump shot from DeBernardo, but the Mules closed the quarter strong. A three pointer from Ana Von Rumohr and two free throws by Defne Pekinbas gave the Mules a 16–14 advantage after the first quarter.
- The Falcons chipped away at the lead to make it a 16-15 game in the second quarter, but the Mules broke their lead open to make it a 32-22 game with ten points from Ava Bryan and six from Emily Ryan. Fiorillo added a three pointer to make it 32-25, but made jump shots from Bryan and Lydia Mordarski gave the Mules the 36-25 lead at the half.
- Johnson opened up the scoring in the second half for the Falcons with two layups, and Brooklyn Gonzalez (Shelton, Conn.) hit a three-pointer to get the Falcons within four points. Donnelly made a free throw for the Mules, but five made free throws from Fiorillo tied the game once again at 37-37 with 4:38 left in the third quarter. The Mules finished on a 10-4 run in the third quarter to take a 47-41.
- The teams traded scoring in the fourth quarter, but the Mules' six point run sealed their win over the Falcons at 56-48.
