NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Ariellys Velez (Watertown, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Tournament Team for her performance over two games.

Velez averaged 31 points, seven rebounds and two assists per game in games against Regis and Saint Joseph College (Maine).

In a 65-60 win over third-seeded Regis in the GNAC quarterfinals, Velez scored 30 points, including 22 in the second half with six rebounds and two assists to go with two steals.

During the team's GNAC semifinal loss to SJC, Velez scored 32 points with eight rebounds and two assists.

Emmanuel College won the GNAC women's title, 73-64 over SJC on Sunday in the championship game.
