Women's Basketball Puts Three On CSC Academic All-District Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Three members of the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team on Tuesday.

Ava Johnson (North Haven, Conn.), Isabella Fiorillo (West Haven, Conn.) and Adriana DeBernardo (Stratford, Conn.) were all named to the team.

Johnson, a business management major, makes her first appearance on the team. This year, she, averaged nine points per game and 7.4 rebounds in 25 games. She also had six double-doubles on the season.

In 27 games, Fiorillo averaged 10.9 points per game, 3.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.4 steals. She had 16 games in double figures, including a career-high 27 points in a win over Elms. She also scored 21 points in a win over Mitchell. It is her first time being named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.

DeBernardo, who was earlier named to the All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Third Team, also makes her first appearance on the CSC Academic All-District Team. 

DeBernardo averaged 11.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.

Her 38 blocks ranked her second in the GNAC and her 211 rebounds put her seventh in the conference.

She had eight double-doubles on the season, including 20 points and 13 rebounds against Emerson on November 15th. DeBernardo also had a stretch of four straight games with a double-double, which included an 11-point, 16 rebound performance against Elms in a win on January 20th. She also had a career-high 23 point performance in a win over Rivier on February 7th.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
