NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College women's ice hockey team lost a 5-0 game to Elmira College on Saturday evening in a New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) game.
Christmas Johnson (Winnipeg, Manitoba) had 61 saves, one less than her career-high she set the previous game against the Soaring Eagles.
Prior to the game, Amber DeJonge (Grand Rapids, Mich.) and Ariana Martin (Hamden, Conn.) were honored as part of Senior Day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Johnson let just one of the 22 shots past her in the first period as Alayna Toole scored the lone goal for Elmira in the first period at the 16:38 mark on a shot from the left faceoff circle.
- Just 42 seconds into the second period, Anna Lugge made it a 2-0 game as she skated into the offensive zone, beat her defender and had a good look at the net to make it a two-goal game.
- The Soaring Eagles added two more goals just 11 seconds apart later on in the third from Gaby Matson and Erika Goleniak.
- Matson added a shorthanded goal for Elmira 49 seconds into the third.
- Johnson stopped 21 shots in the final period.
