PINE VALLEY, N.Y. - The Albertus Magnus College women's ice hockey team fell to the Elmira College Soaring Eagles in a United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) matchup, 8-2.
Tori Walsh (Marystown, Newfoundland) and Maddy Gootjes (Quispamsis, New Brunswick) each had a goal on the day for the Falcons.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Alayna Toole of Elmira got the scoring started just before the midway point in the first period, scoring on a two-on-one after taking a pass from Mo McBride.
- The Falcons answered back about two minutes later as Gootjes netted her second goal of the season courtesy after receiving a pass from Kendall Conley (Trumbull, Conn.) just in front of the blue line and taking a shot past Elmira goaltender, Liv Ruben.
- The Soaring Eagles scored 28 seconds later on a goal from Piper Thompson and then added two more goals courtesy of Abby Eselunas, and a power-play goal by Amber Meluzio to take a 4-1 lead.
- At 12:57 in the second period, Piper Andrews found the net to increase the Soaring Eagles' lead on a breakaway. Toole was credited with the assist. A couple of minutes later, Anna Lugge helped herself with an unassisted goal.
- Elmira tacked on two more goals in the first six minutes of the third by MK Boyle and Rian Comeau.
- Late in the third, Kalyn Reynolds (Newington, Conn.) found Walsh as she crossed into the offensive zone. Walsh then took a shot from the slot past Ruben for the final goal of the day for Albertus.
