NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Albertus Magnus College Director of Athletics Michael Kobylanski has announced the hiring of Jessica Harrison as the Falcons' Head Women's Lacrosse Coach/Assistant Coordinator for Student-Athlete Success.
"Jessica brings a wide range of experience within the sport of lacrosse as a head coach and student-athlete across multiple divisions," Kobylanski said. "I look forward to working with her in this newly-created role that will also provide support to all of our student-athletes."
Most recently, Harrison was the head women's lacrosse coach of American International College, a Division II program in Springfield, Mass. While with the Yellow Jackets, she developed a mandatory study hall system which increased the team cumulative GPA to 3.54 and earned its first academic award in nine years. She also improved the team's win total by one game and developed the team's first all-conference player in four years.
Harrison is also the head coach of DEWLAX, a local premier girls lacrosse program, and is the founder of WOBZ Lacrosse. In that role, she founded and managed an adult women's lacrosse team which competed in the Vail Lacrosse Shootout and Lake Placid Summit Classic. She has also been a coach at True Lacrosse Ohio and has been a coach at numerous lacrosse camps.
During her playing career, Harrison was a member of the University of Hartford, Xavier University and West Chester University women's lacrosse teams. She was named to the 2023 All-Big East Team, the Big East All-Academic Team and was a member of the Division II Senior All-Star Team in 2024.
Harrison earned her bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Hartford and her Master's of Business Administration at Xavier.
