Retasket Scores, But Women's Lacrosse Drops Game To USJ

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College women's lacrosse team lost a 20-1 game to the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.

Briony Retasket (Beaverton, Ore.) scored the lone goal for the Falcons.

Victoria McDermott (Northford, Conn.) had eight saves on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • After nearly four minutes of scoreless action, USJ scored twice in the span of 10 seconds as Anna LeGault and Paige Rieger each scored. Alana Picard and Reagan Buscetto each added two goals in the quarter as the Blue Jays took a 7-0 lead.
  • Kailey Krusewski scored twice in the second quarter for USJ and the Blue Jays took a 12-0 lead late in the half. Retasket put the Falcons on the board at the 1:14 mark on a free position shot as the Falcons were up a player.
  • USJ added four goals in both the third and fourth quarters as LaGault and Krusewski scored two more times.
