NEWTON, Mass. - The Albertus Magnus College women's lacrosse team lost a 23-3 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game to Lasell University on Saturday afternoon. Sage Sonsini (Milford, Conn.) had two goals for the Falcons, while Tiffanie Ly (Branford, Conn.) also added one. 

Victoria McDermott (Northford, Conn.) had four saves, and Sarah Hoffman (Springfield, Va.) added a save in net.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Lasers scored 10 goals in the first quarter, with Lily Hunt adding two, and Brianna McNeil and Mara Boldy each adding a goal in the opening four minutes. The quarter highlighted seven different goal scorers for the Lasers. 
• Lasell added two goals to start the second, but Sonsini answered with her first goal of the game at the 2:30 mark of the quarter after taking a pass from Moira O'Brien (Wilbraham, Mass.). Lasell added one more goal at the end of the quarter with 23 seconds left from Emma Dressel, making it 13-1 heading into the second half of play. 
• The Lasers added three goals to start the quarter, two of which came from Kaleigh Kosta, before Sonsini added her second goal of the game. 
• Ly added the final goal for the Falcons to end the third quarter with just 58 seconds remaining. The Lasers blanked the Falcons in the fourth quarter, and scored five more goals of their own.
