HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Dean scored the first three goals of the game as Emma Mock, Ali Murphy and Bella McQuade each put a shot in the back of the net as the Bulldogs took a 3-0 lead at the 7:13 mark. However, a goal from Ly off a free position shot and a goal from Signor off a pass from Briony Retasket (Beaverton, Ore) cut the Albertus deficit to 3-2 at the end of the first quarter.
  • Schlectweg scored two straight goals for the Falcons to open the second quarter as the Falcons took their first lead at 4-3 with 9:23 remaining. Dean scored the next two goals as McQuade and Murphy each scored their second goals of the game 22 seconds apart as the Bulldogs regained the lead, 5-4. Albertus finished the back and forth second quarter with two more goals, one each from Signor and Carter as the Falcons took a slim 6-5 lead into halftime.

  • Albertus ralled to score three of the first four goals of the fourth quarter as Carter scored twice, including one with 6:08 left to get back within a goal of Dean.
