NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College women's lacrosse team lost a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matchup at home against the Blazers of Elms College, 16-1, Tuesday night at Celentano Field.
Briony Retasket (Beaverton, Ore.) scored the lone goal for the Falcons, her eighth of the season.
Victoria McDermott (Northford, Conn.) got the start in goal for Albertus, making 12 saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Elms jumped on the board first on a goal from Shea Barron. Rachel Dort added two more goals in the first for the Blazers to lead 3-0 after the first 15 minutes of play.
- It was a seven-goal second quarter for Elms as three different players scored. Dort had three, and Jackie Cronin and Chloe Sullivan each scored twice. Four of Elms' goals in the quarter were man-up goals.
- Lily Sheridan put up the first two goals in the third quarter. The Blazers added three more goals, courtesy of Cronin, Dort, and Sullivan, giving Elms the 15-0 lead going into the fourth.
- Cronin scored the final goal for her team in the fourth quarter. Retasket answered with two minutes left to end the shutout.
