Acacia Nelson (Bridgeport, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus women's soccer team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.

Nelson tallied two game-winning goals on the week as they were in back-to-back league contests. The rookie netted the game winner in overtime in a 2-1 win at Johnson & Wales after scoring the game winner at Saint Joseph's College of Maine three days prior. She now has five goals on the year for the Falcons.

Albertus returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 13 when the Falcons travel to Lasell for a 1:00 p.m. GNAC contest.
