HOW IT HAPPENED

  • In the fourth minute, Tessa Lopez (Meriden, Conn.) sent a 40 yard pass down field to Stocking who beat her two defenders and found herself one-on-one with Anna Maria goalkeeper, Brooke Austin. Austin came out of the net and Stocking was able to get by her and put the ball into an open net for her fifth goal of the season.
  • At the 26 minute mark, Pennant chipped a pass to D'Amico who crept past the backline of Anna Maria. Austin came out of the net again and D'Amico had a wide open net for her second goal of the season.
  • Pennant once again found the goal scorer in the 43rd minute as she found Grecco in the open space. Grecco found herself with only Austin to beat and put home her first career goal as the Falcons took a 3-0 lead into halftime.
  • Amy Stevens (Lincoln, R.I.), who played the first half in net for the Falcons stopped the only shot she faced in net.
  • Anna Maria got on the board in the 69th minute on a penalty kick by Ellie Dube.
  • In the 74th minute, after receiving a pass from Stacey Casorla (Southington, Conn.), Dills fired a shot on net right to Austin. Austin mishandled the ball as it rolled into the net to give Albertus the final tally of the game.
