NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team tied a program record with its 12th win of the regular season, defeating the Elms College Blazers, 3-1 in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) clash at Celentano Field.

The Falcons tied the 2013 team that had 12 regular season wins. That team also added two more wins in the postseason.

Ejalam Bravo (New Britain, Conn.) had a goal and an assist, and Tyler Stocking (Middletown, Conn.) and Grace D'Amico (Southbury, Conn.) also found the back of the net for the Falcons.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Albertus dominated possession for most of the first half and capitalized in the 12th minute when Bravo volleyed a pass over to Stocking in the 18-yard box. Stocking then struck a shot that went off the far post and in for her team-leading 11th goal of the season.
  • The Falcons held that lead into the half and would score two more times in the second half. The first of the two goals came from D'Amico on a free kick in the 62nd minute from 30 yards out that went over the outstretched arms of Elms goalkeeper, Sofia Rivers for her sixth goal of the season.
  • Just six minutes later, Bravo scored her sixth goal of the season after taking a pass from Stacey Casorla (Southington, Conn.) and sending a shot from just outside the corner of the box into the far side of the net to give Albertus a 3-0 lead.
  • Jordan Lee added a goal in the 69th minute for Elms for its lone tally of the game.
