Stevens, Pennant, Stocking All Named To United Soccer Coaches All Region I Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Three members of the Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team were named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-Region I Third Team on Tuesday.

Goalkeeper Amy Stevens (Lincoln, R.I.), defender Natalya Pennant (Windsor, Conn.) and forward Tyler Stocking (Middletown, Conn.) were all named to the team.

All three were also named to the All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) first team earlier this season.

Stevens had a record-setting season in goal, going 13-3-3 with six shutouts. She was second in the GNAC in shutouts and third in both save percentage at .806 and goals-against average at 0.81. Stevens set program records for most wins in a career with 37. She also set the program record with 19 shutouts in her career, which she achieved in a 3-0 win over New England College on October 24th. She also finished her career as the all-time leader in saves with 329. She had five games on the season with six or more saves during the season.

Stocking was fifth in the GNAC in both goals with 13 and points with 28. Stocking had two multi-goal games on the season, in a 6-0 wins over both Mitchell and Brooklyn College. She also had a goal and an assist against Nichols and Dean in wins.

Pennant, a defender, was named to the All-GNAC team in her first season at Albertus. She finished the season with two goals and six assists. She had a goal and an assist in a 5-0 win over Purchase and had two assists in a win over Anna Maria.

The women's soccer team now has 11 players all-time that have made the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team in its program's history.
