NEW HAVEN, Conn. – With her third season as head coach of the Albertus Magnus College women's swimming & diving team set to begin this week, Lauren Pallone announced the program's 2021-22 schedule, the team's third varsity campaign.
The Falcons will kick off 2021-22 at the Blue Jay Invite, hosted by the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.), on Friday, Oct. 22, at 5 p.m. The event will take place at the Bruyette Natatorium in nearby West Hartford, Conn.
Albertus will open its home schedule on Saturday, Nov. 6, welcoming USJ, Elms College, and Saint Joseph's College of Maine for a home meet at the Cosgrove Marcus Messer Athletic Center Pool at 1 p.m.
AMC will close out the year with a pair of road meets. First, the Falcons will head to Rhode Island College for a dual-meet on Saturday, Nov. 20. Albertus will then take part in the Connecticut Cup, hosted by Wesleyan University at the Wesleyan Natatorium on Saturday, Dec. 4.
Albertus begins the New Year with a trio of events in January. First, AMC will compete in a road tri-meet against Western Connecticut State University and FDU-Florham in Danbury, Conn., on Jan. 12. Then the Falcons will face Elms and Colby-Sawyer College in a dual road meet on Jan. 15 in Chicopee, Mass. The Falcons will then close out the regular season with a home tri-meet with Gordon College and Western New England University (Jan. 23).
The Falcons' postseason will first feature the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships, hosted by Wellesley College at the Chandler Pool in Wellesley, Mass. The three-day event will take place on Feb. 4-6.
AMC will then compete at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) Championships on Feb. 24-27. The four-day meet will occur at the University of Rhode Island at the Tootell Aquatic Center in Kingston, R.I.
