Rob Ensling Named Head Women’s and Men’s Swimming and Diving Coach/Aquatics Director

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Albertus Magnus College Director of Athletics Michael Kobylanski is pleased to announce the hiring of Robert Ensling as the school's new Head Women's and Men's Swimming and Diving Coach/Aquatics Director.

"Rob has gained valuable experience over the course of his career leading programs at the high school and club levels, as well as assisting at the collegiate level," Kobylanski said. "I am confident that his deep ties to the state and previous experiences as a student-athlete here in New Haven will allow him to hit the ground running. He has also demonstrated an ability to connect with his student-athletes and build meaningful relationships, and I expect that to continue here at Albertus Magnus College."

Ensling has a wealth of experience with over two decades in the pool. He is currently the owner and Director of Competitive Aquatics at Northeast CT Aquatics, a role which he has held since 2015.

At Northeast CT Aquatics, Ensling develops training programs for students from six years old to college. He also manages a coaching staff and oversees daily operations of the aquatics center. He's developed talent that went on to be junior national qualifiers and USA Swimming All-Americans.

Most recently, Ensling also served as an assistant coach at Central Connecticut State University under head coach Bill Ball.

He has also served as the aquatic director of the Star Hill Family Athletic Center and was a swim coach at the Greater Hartford YMCA for nine years.

Ensling is a 2004 graduate of Southern Connecticut State University where he earned a bachelor's of science degree in marketing and finance. He was also a student-athlete on the Owls' swimming and diving team.
