NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Mia Ashley Dominguez Cortes (Tlajomulco, Mexico) of the Albertus Magnus College women's swimming team was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly Honor Roll after her performance over the weekend that saw her win six races.

In dual matches against USJ and Plymouth state on Oct. 24, she won three events, including the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 12:09.10, which was nearly 11 seconds ahead of second place. She also took home the 50-yard breaststroke title with a time of 36.63. In the 100 yard breaststroke, Cortes finished at 1:17.14 in her win. 

Against Westfield State on 10/25, Cortes won the 200 yard freestyle gold with a time of 2:14.28, winning by over six seconds. She won the 500 yard freestyle by over 25 seconds with a time of 6:00.66 time and won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:10.33, over nine seconds better than her closest competitor.
