Cortes Sets New Program Record In 50 Yard Breaststroke At CCSU

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College women's swimming team competed in the Friday Night Sprint meet at Central Connecticut State University on Friday evening.

Mia Cortes broke her own record with a time of 36.25 in the 50 yard breaststroke, beating her previous time of 36.35. She finished in sixth place in the event. Teammate Alyssa Defeo finished in eighth with a time of 43.38.

Cortes also finished in second place in the 100 yard breaststoke with a time of 1:16.69.
