Women's Swimming Picked Seventh, Men Fifth in GNAC Pre-Championship Poll

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College women's swimming and diving team was selected to finish seventh and the men's swimming and diving team was selected fifth in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Pre-Championship Poll.

The three-day event will be held at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass. from Friday, September 6th to Sunday, February 8th.

The Falcons received 10 voting points.

On the women's side, Simmons University was picked to win the conference title with 45 voting points and five first-place votes. Defending champion, Norwich University was selected second with 43 voting points and the remaining two first-place votes. Regis College and the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) were picked tied for third with 33 voting points.

Elms was picked fifth with 17 points, followed by Saint Joseph's College of Maine with 15 points with Albertus rounding out the poll in seventh.

On the men's side, the Falcons received five voting points.

Defending champion Norwich University was selected to repeat with 25 voting points and all five first-place votes. The University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) was picked second with 20 points, while Regis was picked third with 15 points followed by Elms (10 points) and Albertus.
