BRONX, N.Y. - The Albertus Magnus College women's tennis team lost its season finale, 7-0 to Lehman College in a City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) matchup on Saturday afternoon.
Lehman took the doubles point, sweeping the Falcons in the three matches. Shawna Glasgow (Bridgeport, Conn.) and Ayanna Perez (Ansonia, Conn.) lost in No. 1 doubles, 6-2 against Gabriela Vargas and Amya Sanchez. Gabby Augustin (Hopkinton, Mass.) and Hope Williams (Stonington, Conn.) fell to Fernanda Navarrete and Elizabeth Nlemchukwu,
Albertus dropped all of the singles matches to Lehman, but Williams played a tough match against Navarrete at No. 3, ultimately falling in three sets, 6-2, 4-6, 10-3.
Albertus finished their season 2-8 overall and 1-5 in CUNYAC play. Lehman is 4-6 overall and 1-3 in the CUNYAC.
