    NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Adriel Espada (Bridgeport, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College baseball team was selected to the All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) First Team, while teammates Eric Galarza (Bridgeport, Conn.) and Joey O'Hara (Bethel, Conn.) were named to the second team as the conference released its major award winners and all-conference teams. Jack Angelo (East Haven, Conn.) was named to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Albertus Magnus College head softball coach Lou Bunosso was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Coach of the Year and Annabelle Jabs (East Hartland, Conn.), Karla Carangelo (Cheshire, Conn.), Mikaela Schwippert (Whippany, N.J.) and Reilly Austin (Cumberland, R.I.) were all named to the All-GNAC First Team as the conference unveiled its major award winners and all-conference teams for the 2026 season. Megan Cross was named to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

    BRIGHTON, Mass. - The Albertus Magnus College softball team won its second Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship in program history with a resounding 10-1 win - in six innings - over Simmons University in game three of the championship series. Simmons won game two, 1-0 to force the deciding game.

    For the first time in program history, the Albertus Magnus College softball team is headed to the NCAA Tournament. The Falcons punched their ticket in resounding fashion with a 10-1 (6 innings) mercy rule victory over Simmons University on the Sharks home field this afternoon. As a result, Albertus captured its second-ever Great Northeast Athletic Conference Tournament title and earned the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament in the process. The Falcons previously won the GNAC title in 1997 at a time when there was no auto-bid to the NCAA Championship.
