NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Logan Bateman (Ottawa, Ontario), a goaltender on the Albertus Magnus College men's ice hockey team, was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2023-24 Division III Academic All-America Men's At-Large First Team on Wednesday.

It is the fifth time a student-athlete was named as a CSC Academic All-American and the first to make the first team. Bateman is also the second student-athlete to make the CSC All-American At-Large Team from Albertus. He is the fourth different student-athlete from Albertus to join the list as Lianna Carrero made the women's basketball Academic All-American team twice in 2012-13 and 2013-14.

Bateman had a standout season for the Falcons between the pipes going 14-8-0 with 570 saves, a 2.10 goals-against average and a .925 save percentage. He also notched two shutouts on the season in wins over Nichols and Neumann. It was the second straight season Bateman made the first team. He was named the Division III All-Independent Player of the Year and named to the Division III All-Independent First Team.

In the classroom, Bateman was named an American Hockey Coaches' Association (AHCA) Krampade All-American Scholar for the fourth time and was earlier named to the CSC 2023-24 Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team after sporting a 3.91 GPA while pursuing his Master's of Business Administration.
