Anderson Named To NEHC Weekly Honor Roll

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Sam Anderson (Calgary, Alberta) of the Albertus Magnus College men's ice hockey team was named to the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) weekly honor roll for his performance in the 2-0 week for the Falcons.

Anderson was instrumental in the team's first two NEHC wins of the season over Castleton, registering three assists.

In the team's 3-2 win over the Spartans on Friday, Anderson had an assist on a goal from Tim Manning (Concord, Ohio) that gave the Falcons a 2-1 lead in the second period at the time.

During a thrilling 4-3 overtime win in which the Falcons rallied from a two-goal deficit in the third period, Anderson helped lead the comeback charge with an assist on a goal from Zane Kindrachuk (Calgary, Alberta) to make it a 3-2 game in the third period. In overtime, Anderson assisted on the game-winning goal from William Lavigne (Sainte-Anne-des-Lacs, Québec) just 41 seconds into the extra frame.

This season, has four assists for the Falcons.

Albertus returns to action on Friday and Saturday as it travels to No. 11 Elmira for an NEHC weekend series.
