NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's ice hockey team lost a United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) matchup against the Golden Flyers of Nazareth University on Friday evening, 3-1 at Ralph Walker Ice Rink. 

Linas Dedinas (Vilnius, Lithuania) scored the lone goal for the Falcons. Caleb Chabot (Blainville, Quebec) got the start in goal, making a career-high 33 saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • After a scoreless first period, the Golden Flyers got on the board first early in the second at 2:21 when Matthew Herb set up Andrew Miller for a slap shot that went off the pad of Chabot, and rebounded to Will Halecki to put it away for the goal.
  • The Golden Flyers found the net once again at 11:37 when Gabrielle Laflamme found the net after taking a pass from Logan Tobias.
  • Dedinas put the Falcons on the board at the 12:47 mark in the third as he deflected a shot from Connor Bertamini (Calgary, Alberta) past Nazareth goaltender, Paul Dalessio to put the Falcons within one.
  • Nazareth added an empty net goal with three seconds left, courtesy of Blake Frost.
