HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pride took an early 9-0 lead after the first quarter, thanks to three goals by Melinda Carbone.
- Serenity Ayala scored back-to-back goals in the second period though Albertus broke the shutout at the 10:13 mark. After Albertus goalkeeper Victoria McDermott (Northford, Conn.) caused a turnover and scooped the ground ball, the Falcons had a successful clear before Retasket fed G. Montano for the first-year's third goal of the season to make it an 11-1 game in favor of the hosts.
- Regis responded with four more goals before halftime and gave the Pride a 15-1 advantage at the break as McKenna Benoit scored twice.
- Both teams traded a goal apiece in the third quarter, to send the game into the final frame with the Pride's 14-goal lead still intact. Retasket drew the foul for a free position attempt and took advantage of the short-handed Pride to give Albertus its second goal of the contest with 3:10 left in the third quarter.
- In the fourth, the Pride tacked on four more goals but the Falcons managed a final goal in the closing seconds. With two seconds left on the clock, Signor cut through defenders to deliver a direct pass to Schlechtweg for the third goal for the visitors.
